The Calm Before the Storm

I love the weather just before a storm.
The clouds become dense and thick.
The colours of the sky shift dramatically and I have that ominous feeling a storm is brewing.

As I walk down the road I am met by the dramatic picture of the bright sun and the gathering thunderous clouds.
I love the feeling of anticipation, as though nature is taking a deep breath before plunging into a storm.

I love not knowing if I'm going to get soaked or not.

I find the clap and roll of thunder terrifies me.

As I stand at the top of the hill that day, looking out at the view and I give my life to God again.

I realise how much I need Him. I see how broken and small I am against His Splendour.

I see how much I need His Love, His Power, His Grace, His Mercy, His Truth in my life.

I want to be changed. I want to shine for Him.

I want to reflect His glory, just as this stormy day reflects His glory.

his eternal power and divine nature—have been clearly seen,
being understood from what has been made,
