No fewer than 56 passengers
miraculously escaped death in the morning of September 17, 2013, Tuesday, when
the brakes of a Molue bus they boarded from Iyana-Ipaja to Oshodi failed and
crashed into two other vehicles.
It has been learnt that the
Molue bus, plate number AGL 949 XG, went out of control after the brake failure
while descending a slope around Dopemu bus stop at about 8.30 a.m.
According to an eye
witnesses, all the passengers in the Molue were unhurt while other vehicles
trying to avoid the Molue during the incident were badly damaged.
The Molue crushed a taxi
before finally coming to a halt.
The police, FRSC and LASTMA
officials were at the scene of the incident at the time of this report.
It would be noted that the accident took place in
less than 2 weeks after the Lagos State Government had barred Molue busses
